Hexalin tries to get Jahid's attention after Aelion put an arrow in a guard's head, causing the base to go on alert. Johnny struggles to open the gate multiple times and puts the yelling guard out of his misery.
Aelion tries multiple times to open the gate as well before he snaps one of the pegs off the wheel. Johnny finally gets the gate open with a nat 20, while Aelion's dice still hate him when he tries to help.
Just as Johnny finishes opening the gate, all the soldiers from inside start to come out. Hexalin impales a guy's skull with her hoopak as he comes up the stairs, sending him down slumped, while she witch-bolts the one behind him.
Aelion manages to land one arrow. Johnny punches the Baaz Draconian. Jahiv lands an arrow in the Baaz as well. Aelion drops the Dragon Army soldier before he explodes the Baaz Draconian right in Johnny's face with an arrow shot, petrifying him for a minute.
Chaos Crew let the Dragonal out after Johnny slowed it. Johnny tried to punch it into submission to join the party. Tyru was using his gadgets on it, while Hexalin kept poison-spraying it and eventually killed it.
Hexalin and Tyru immediately started stripping it for body parts and the barding. (6000gp/2 [sell value = 3000gp/3 Chaos Crew = 1000gp each when we sell]) They made it back to Kalaman. Marshall is away. After leaving for Wheelwatch, a contingent of Dragon Army troops had broken away.
Lord Bakaris demands Kalaman's army go out and seize a victory. They planned to ambush the Red Dragon Army by Steel Springs, taking Daerrett with them under his and his sons’ command. Hexalin slipped a sealed note from Daerrett, saying Lord Bakaris is leading them to ruin.
Chaos Crew grabs some horses and heads back out to save Daerrett. Lord Bakaris’ son is most likely dead. Knight Kardock, a charming man with a message for the governor, entered with a dozen heavy armor knights. Two Knights of Solomnia with a rose emblem, the Knight of the Rose, were also present.
Johnny rolled high enough to notice that it looked like bone behind their helmets. They fought the two skeleton guards outside the castle until Tyru and Johnny were down, and the guards imploded and disappeared completely.
Johnny held the Knight Caradoc and took him down in the first round before he could act, with the help of the party, Sarax, and the knights, landing over 11 crits. Caradoc’s spirit then came out of the armor and tried to possess Sarax. He managed to avoid it, but the ghost kept touching soldiers and killing them.
Hexalin kept it witch-bolted and eventually downed it. They found out his spirit is bound to Dargaard Keep. Leedara healed the party and sent them through the secret passage in the council chamber. She is apparently "tied to Lord Sotth, but not in a good way," and is trying to stop his plans. She did not tell Johnny if she is single.
They went into the tomb, and spectral skeleton knights appeared, declaring that any non-knights shall be rebuked. Tyru took out two from above, and Johnny exploded one with a called shot to the chest for 72 damage. Adrath and Aelion both missed a whole Knights of Solamnia encounter, with a bunch of visions affecting them.
Daerrett is now the most knightly of the three as spooky spectral skeletal warhorses appear. Daerrett animal-handles one away in a knightly manner. Tyru force-ballistas one, and then scorches the second with rays after destroying it.
Daerrett gained a Favor of the Heroic Steed – a Supernatural Gift (Charm). Two heroic steeds find him worthy and agree to serve him. This charm has 1 charge. As an action, he can expend 1 charge to summon a warhorse wearing plate barding (AC 18). The warhorse serves him for 24 hours, then vanishes.
In the north, there are ruins of floating cities. Soth could be going up there to find them. Hexalin can’t climb up to the boat, while Johnny makes a cool jump up onto the boat. Hexalin struggles for minutes trying to get on.
Hexalin tries to copy Johnny by rocking the boat and jumping off, but still can’t get up. Two air elementals appear on the deck of the ship. Aelion just looks at them and shouts some nonsense about their weaknesses. Johnny slows the air elementals after they attack him and the new guy, Hempth. Hempth lands a crit on one of them.
Hexalin is still trying to get out of the rowboat onto the bigger ship. Tyru makes a force cannon but unfortunately misses. Hexalin plans to loot everyone’s body when they all die up there, since she’s still in the rowboat and the only survivor.
Aelion runs away from them, landing one arrow as he does. Johnny punches one twice and uses Dissonant Whispers on it. Hempth hits the other with his longsword twice and adds a Divine Smite.
Hexalin crit-fumbles while trying to climb again and falls into the water. She climbs out, gets back onto the boat, tries the ladder again, and finally manages to get to the top after dashing up.
Tyru rows a boat with ease over and uses his Force Cannon, knocking one back 5 ft. Following it up with Scorching Ray, landing 2 hits but fumbling one, giving the party disadvantage on the next attack. Aelion finishes off the first air elemental, and Hempth uses Hellish Rebuke to finish off the other.
Everyone is now level 6. Some Sylvanesti elf named Dolomar started hassling the party, along with his leader Sellzul. They have a small encampment nearby.
Johnny Silvernote : Undead knight with glowing red eyes.
Hexalin: Soth is working with the Dragon Army.
Johnny Silvernote : Priest Belefon, seeks an ancient weapon.
Hexalin: Seeking the lance.
Johnny Silvernote : Out here for months in the northern wastes. Remnants of long-lost, vanished people of the city hold the key to the ancient weapon. Walls are riddled with passages; winds blow through the passage.
Landing point for Dragonalls. Hidden passage that leads to the city.
Bax Stoutbuckle – Kobold (suggested by the party).
